Mrs. Philippines PIDC 2009 will be held at Rembrandt Banquet Hall, 930 Progress Ave., Scarborough. The Mrs. Philippines PIDC pageant is an event organized by volunteers from the Filipino Canadian Community. Our goal is to foster unity among Filipino Canadians and to promote better understanding of the FIlipino Culture. It is sponsored by Civic-minded businessmen and individuals.
The Role of Mrs. Philippines:
Mrs. Philippines will serve as a role model and inspiration to all women particularly the Filipina woman, showcasing the virtues and the excellent morale of the Filipina woman. She will promote the Filipino Culture, Arts, Heritage and the Acts of Charity.
Mrs. Philippines PIDC Qualifications:
1) 50% Filipino Ancestry
2) Good Moral Standing
3) Married, Been Married or Attached
The Philippine Independence Day Council (“PIDC”) is a non-profit umbrella organization of almost three hundred Filipino-Canadian provincial, regional, professional, cultural and social organizations. PIDC is mainly tasked with the celebration of Philippine Independence Day celebrations with numerous activities throughout the year that bring together the fourth largest minority group in Canada. http://www.pidctoronto.com
