Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Red hot new singing sensation Charice, who celebrated her 18th birthday on May 10th, is giving fans a reason to celebrate as well, with the release of her highly anticipated self titled debut album. Also on the May 11th release day, Charice performed on The Oprah Show, her 4th visit to the Oprah stage. A few weeks later, on Friday, June 4th, Charice will delight her Canadian fans here in Toronto with a free live performance at the Toronto Eaton Centre (Albert’s Way) at 6:00 pm. She will also sign copies of her new CD following the performance.

Charice who has already racked up more than 13 million views on YouTube began her singing career at age four when her mother discovered her singing on a table and went on to perform in several singing contests in Southeast Asia. One of her many fans (“Chasters”) put one of her performances on YouTube and a star was born. She first appeared in the US on The Ellen Show and then came to the attention of “Hit Man” David Foster who signed her to his 143/Reprise Records. On 2009, Charice revisited the Oprah Show to perform the Diane Warren written and David Foster produced “Note to God”. In the weeks that followed, the Foster-produced track sold 110,000 total downloads in America. This track and the first single, the anthemic love song “Pyramid” featuring Iyaz, will appear on the new CD.
